"Low Close" from month to month: The August low is 5.2% greater
than the July low close. The September low close is 11.7% greater
than the August low close, and the October low close (to date)
is 35% greater than the September low close.
Short interest in VVUS as of 9/24/97 was 10,266,009; down 1.1%
from August 26th,1997. Not much of a move.
What are the short interest folks thinking, RIGHT NOW?
1)Earnings on close of market Wednesday, 10/8 expected to be
very strong.
2)Ad campaign and completion of new U.S.
production facility translates to revenue.
3)Competition still seeking FDA approval,... 1 to 2 years
behind Vivus.
4)It is generally agreed that there is plenty of room in the ED
market for competition.
5)The U K announcement will mark the gateway to global
commerce for Vivus.
6)The Irish production facility will serve to meet global
sales demands.
7)Vivus management is working to generate increased
broker coverage.
8)Vanik. Is he selling NOW? Are you? Not me.
