I have been thinking a lot about what makes the market go up and down.

I know there are people here on SI who know the complex macro economic explanation, but I think it is much more simple.

I think all those things you mentioned will have a real fundamental effect on the economy for many years to come. However, I don't think they are the reason that the market is turning right now.

I believe that we are still in the mentality of believing that we can get rich quick. So, when we have it, we are still putting our cash into the casino instead of savings.

so, I think the reason that the market is topping is that any cash that we had saved up and then put back into the market has pretty much run out.

The stuff going on now under the obama administration will make any recovery next year very very difficult....IMO
