I agree, there is the possibility that AMD and Cyrix may survive and thrive playing a niche strategy (although, lately they haven't shown much ability to profit from this strategy - this could change).

I was commenting on the statement that was made concerning the desires of investors in AMD and Cyrix to see Intel's margins crash. My understanding of the market is that if Intel's margins crash, AMD and Cyrix would be severely adversely effected.
