Windseye: I agree with the COMPAQ concept that you sell to the client however the client wants to buy and that this is superior to the DELL model. But the critics say that the logistics of this concept costs CPQ more than it costs DELL. EP appears to be denying that.

Even if it does cost more, the extra cost may be worth it if it continues to maintain COMPAQ as No. 1 PC seller and No. 2 computer vendor. The dominant market share will generate profits in other divisions of it's business, whatever the ML analyst says.
