Kudlow: Investors Will Vote Bush

Nov 2 2000 11:51AM ET

By Lawrence Kudlow
Contributing Editor

A tracking poll from Investor’s Business Daily on Wednesday showed a huge,
19-percentage-point George W. Bush lead over Al Gore among investors who
own $10,000 or more in stock. Shareholders are the backbone of Bush support.
They are carrying him to victory.

Investor Class voters have been the invisible hand of American politics during
most of the 1990s, though most media commentators have missed the political
significance of this key group. Investors may well be the single biggest swing
factor in Tuesday's election. There are roughly 100 million of them.
Sixty-percent of likely voters are investors.
