Ideally, the British should not have created the Jewish homeland there, but they did. Of course, only Antartica didn't have an indigenous population already there, but... The problem isn't the natives as such, it's the population balance. Right now Jews are a slim majority (counting the West Bank/Gaza) and this is expected to shift dramatically in favor of the Arabs over time. (And of course, the problem would be worse if not for the expulsion of many Arabs during the 1948 war). Maybe the solution is for Israel to open its borders to friendly non-Jewish immigration, and become an officially secular state. Kind of defeats the purpose of creating Israel in the first place, but oh well...
