Rosie O'Donnell: U.S. Has Killed ‘Hundreds of Thousands' of Innocent Iraqis
Posted by Noel Sheppard NewsBusters.org April 16, 2007

The controversial host of ABC’s “The View,” Rosie O’Donnell, posted a peculiar rant at her blog Saturday that seemed to be two parts confession, and one part recognition that the firing of Don Imus might be an ominous portent for her career.
To begin with, it certainly was no coincidence that she opened with a reference to the recently terminated radio host (emphasis added throughout):
<<< a huge terrible storm is coming a nor easter
the potential hail has bumped imus off r top story tonight >>>
Next, O’Donnell referenced the Stop Rosie website NB’s Matt Sheffield reported about on Sunday:
<<< correct quotes thank you ethan well done >>>
With that, O’Donnell tried to explain what she meant when she stated some months back that we shouldn’t fear terrorists because they’re mothers and fathers, too:
<<< here is the point i was trying to make to elisabeth who cant see any of “them” as anything but terrorists
hundreds of thousands of humans not “terrorists” iraqi mothers and fathers have been killed by US
those innocent ones the mothers and fathers they r not “terrorists” >>>
Yes, Rosie. We’ve killed hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis in this war. Where’d you get that number from?
Of course, Rosie isn’t one to care much about the accuracy of the “data” she shares with viewers or readers. For instance, here was another gem from the comedienne that badly missed the mark:
<<< 28 million american children live in dire poverty >>>
Where’d you get that from, Rosie? After all, according to the most recent Census figures, as of 2005, there were 12.9 million people under 18 years of age in America living in poverty. As such, you were only off by 15 million, or 54 percent!
Of course, Rosie was just getting warmed up presenting her typically errant data:
<<< 1/2 of all black and hispanic kids in america do not graduate from high school >>>
Really? Where’d you get that from, Rosie? According to this Census chart, 80 percent of blacks living in America 18 years old and older have graduated high school. Fortunately, she was a little closer with her Hispanic figure, although this Census chart put it more at 60 percent.
Facts really are a stupid thing, aren’t they Rosie?
Yet, as she moved to a conclusion, Rosie suggested a bit of a change of direction for her:
<<< from now on i will not raise my voice about this criminal administration i am sick of screaming IMPEACH
unreal from now on i will say unreal ok just know on the inside i will be yelling >>>
I’ll believe it when I see it.
