I am fully invested so I would have to bail out of my current favorite should I decide to get in here. I definitely would buy Novell for the following reasons: the proverbial CEO bounce, the perennial JAN effect, the imminent possibility of a takeover. The CEO bounce is obvious. The fact that the stock has been the target of strong tax selling makes it the perfect JAN effect stock. A large customer base which can be had in one fell swoop makes for very attractive pickings insofar as the takeover possibility. They are still operating at a profit and downside risk will be further mitigated by an upgrade cycle.
