Thomas, << My gut feeling on the timing of the flight >> I'll let you
know when I'm out. <gg>. I'll have to check out your nine of nine.
I'm not much on Yahoo. No particular reason, just grew up on SI and
sort of stuck with it. It's easy to get spread too thin.
Objectively on timing, I'd say it's when cash flow starts moving strongly from equities rather than into it. The market has been the investment of choice. We revel because so much money is being poured into equities from 401k's & the communication revolution putting individuals on almost the same information level as the institutions, but certainly not with the same political clout. When money begins to flow out of the equity market for a sustained period, it's probably too late. If I could determine 'a correction' from 'a flight' from the market before the flight is recognized but the investment community, I'd name my price at Merrill Lynch. I believe it's started. I hope
I'm wrong, because I want to, and intend to, push things just a little
closer to the edge. Some banking y2k compliant testing will begin in March. I think most industries will be finished by August. The banks
believe they are compliant, but till you step on the gas, you won't know how it runs. If early testing goes well there's probably more time. If the banks crash look out.
