Here is part of an article on North American Palladium's 126.5 million expansion plans at it's existing mine 85 k's north of Thunder Bay Ontario.If they can expand the mine from 2400 tonnes per day to 25000 tonnes per day in 16 months one would think Southernera could get Messina up and running a lot faster than forecast.

"Palladium Mill on financing track.

Construction of the company's new mill, at the Lac Des Iles palladium mine 85 kilometres north of Thunder Bay, begins this month.

The mill is expected to be operating in mid-2001.

Palladium is used for catalytic converters and computers.

Minty said the new mill, approved in a feasibility study this year, would expand mine operations from 2,400 to 25,000 tonnes per day.

With the completion of the mill, North American Palladium expects to double its workforce by hiring am estimated 100 new employees."
They also have a new 6 year agreement with their unions.
