Re: >>I know that Dididesign (leader in pro audio digital recording) recently approved the syquest 1.5 gig removeable, but I thought I'd wait to see if a 4 meg would be available anytime soon.<<

The following (#5581) was posted by Joon Song:
>>From SyQuest's 10-K:
"Management has decided to focus its other new product, Quest, exclusively on Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) opportunities. The cost of distribution into the OEM channel is less than that of the retail marketplace. The production ramp-up for Quest will only occur with the support of OEM demand for this product."

So I guess it's questionable whether SyQuest will ever ship the Quest drive.<< This is the link to Joon's post: techstocks.com

FWIW: If I were you, rather than taking the word of the bulls and bears, I'd:

1) call SYQT and find out if there's been any activity regarding OEM's and the Quest.

2) call your favorite OEM and ask them if they are going to be offering the Quest (they won't carry it if there's no demand).

Please let us know what you find out.

Regards - Emory
