David,
In my personal opinion, MSFT feels soft at this point only because people are a little wary as the DOJ gets involved in their business. Yesterday, MEFT announced a release date for Win98. I hope they did so knowing they would be able to release it, based on the meeting that they had with the DOJ late last week. So far, no sabre rattling from DOJ on this issue. I think this is good news.

If and when the perception changes, and it is perceived that there is some sort of agreement between DOJ and MSFT, I think we'll see MSFT begin the upward movement again. If you plan to short this one or are in fact shorting it, I would be very careful. Even with the DOJ problems, this one has not dropped off the proverbial cliff. That shows me how truly strong it is and how much the shareholders value it. -Keith-
