No prediction about acquisition, but think of the following: LU at 100 with 1.31b shares o/s and est. next year earnings at 2.49 ASND with 217m shares o/s and est next year earnings at 1.65 An acq. at the following levels would result in combined EPS, calculated based on the above, as follows: $70 $2.48 $75 $2.46 $80 $2.44 None of these amounts are totally out of the ballpark. In addition, ASND earnings should increase greater than the above amount from leveraging off of LU customers and reduction of overlapping costs.
