Metrowerks Shares Trade in NASDAQ National Market;
Metrowerks Common Stock to Begin Trading July 5, 1996
AUSTIN, TEXAS--Metrowerks(R), Inc., the leading provider of software
development tools for Macintosh(R), today announced that the Company's
common stock has been approved for inclusion in the NASDAQ National Market
and will begin trading on Friday, July 5, 1996.
"We expect that the visibility, efficiency and liquidity of the NASDAQ
National Market will offer substantial benefits to our shareholders and to
the Company," said Jean Belanger, chairman of Metrowerks.
Metrowerks, whose trading symbol on NASDAQ will be MTWKF, develops, markets
and supports a complete line of Macintosh-hosted computer language products
for building Mac(TM)OS, Windows(R) 95, Windows NT(TM), Magic Cap(TM),
Be(TM)OS and Palm OS(TM) applications. Providing full support for C/C++,
Object Pascal and Java(TM) under
one Integrated Development Environment (IDE), Metrowerks'
CodeWarrior products have become the industry standard for
professional Mac-hosted software development with more than 50,000
registered users in 70 countries.
The Company's financial year end is July 31. Revenue for the nine
months ended April 30, 1996 were US$7.1 million and earnings for
