I appreciate the feedback which provides me with a nice segue. In the classic, Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds by Charles Mackay, the Crusades were discussed. They were precipitated by the pilgrimage to the Holy Lands which started in the year 1000. Over the next year, we're going to hear a lot of rhetoric about the Second Coming and I think, if anything, music will calm whatever reactions are read into the year 2000. 'Music has charms to soothe the savage breast.' - William Congreve. A good defense is an 'active' one. Integrity Music will be on the front lines.

The Y2K problem is a little like the Hurricane Floyd problem. The Weather Service's computer models demonstrated that Floyd would devastate the entire East Coast. $2B was spent on the evacuation alone! Now that the storm is gone a lot of people feel upset, but not by the storm but the computer models. They have a song in their hearts when they look for it but they also feel cheated: If the damage had actually occurred as predicted, they'd all be famous! I think that's why Integrity Music will always be vital. People sometimes prefer fame over the song in their hearts but the music is still there. That's the way a lot of things are.
