RR, only the last 15 min or so were "colourful" due to one persons very direct and negative questions. He started his comments by saying something like... "so.. what you're saying here is that we have really nothing ..." and continued on from there.

His questions were point blank and I think echoed the frustrations of many TKR supporters in attendance. It would be hard to find many s/h that had made money on TKR over the last year or so, unless they sold off most of their stock over $7 last summer.

Another lady started by saying "I am not a sophisticated investor... I bought Takla on the recommendation of my broker at xyz... What should I do now? .... Is TKR a speculative exploration company or producing..?

She definately did NOT sound like a typical mining and exploration risky investor that understood what she was getting into. I wonder what some of these broker yahoos are thinking when they push the latest flavour of the day on persons who obviously do not have the profile of a spec. stock investor.

I think after BXM many of these brokers will start being a little more careful. I know of one example where threatened lawsuit for talking an investor out of selling substantial BXM holdings several times before the crash is likely going to result in a settlement to cover still unpaid margin losses of 5 to 6 figures. The s/h lost a bundle on BXM but the brokerage is going to share a lot of the loss as well.

The meeting was good information on their projects in Bolivia and Peru which look like they will be getting increased focus. This is good becuase TKR's VB prospects may not spark much of a flame in '97. The SA properties, while some of which very promissing, are for the most part very early in the exploration process.

I agree that around $2 looked attractive but am taking a wait and see attitude until news and/or volume picks up.
