The new version of their software really wont make a difference to their bottom line. Remember its margins not revenues that drive the price of a stock. As more people become educated about the Internet the more unlikely they will join AOL , and for those using AOL the likely hood that they will get a local ISP is quite high.
Do your research on this stock, and dont belive everything that the buy recommendation analysts are saying about this one. Their is to much competition from those companies who offer a better, cheaper way to go on-line. I dont know what AOL accounting policy is for recognizing revenues but I bet its very aggressive to make revenues look better than they really are. I am not saying they are cooking the books but good accountants can make a business look better than it really is in the short term.
