Great story, Rambi! So many of us wonder what we can do to help our Military....One of the local members of a National group I belong to found this site (below) and has been saving every extra cent she can to send packages and letters to our soldiers....So far, she has sent several, and has received the nicest letters back from the military....mostly men, but she's heard from 2 women as well.

The site is:

anysoldier.us

Want to send a care package to Any Soldier in Harm's Way,
but have no idea of what to send, who to send it to, or how to send it?

AnySoldier.US started in August 2003 as a simple family effort to help the soldiers in one Army unit, thus our name. However, due to overwhelming requests, on 1 January 2004 our effort was expanded to include any member, of any of the Armed Services, in harms way.
We now have 231 Army, 1 Navy, 4 Air Force, and 16 Marine contacts helping approx 15,785 soldiers!
