Please read the last two comments made on Motley Fool by MyHypothesis on PMTI. Coherent's CO2 laser sales are going into the tank because women do not want to look like a burn victim for a month. Now with a fatality in Atlanta all of the CO2 laser makers, Luxar, Coherent, Sharplan, etc. are in big trouble. There is a huge demand for wrinkle laser removal but not with the current lasers. Even the Erbium laser which is being touted as causing less redness and themal necrosis is too much for many patients. Who wants to wear bandages and use antibiotics for a week or two? Who wants to avoid the sun for a few months? Palomar has a great opportunity as the distributor of the CoolTouch laser system from New Star Lasers since this is the first dermatologic laser which does not require local anesthetic or cause surface skin removal, redness, etc. Check it out.
