OPK - This is one of the few companies where the company blurb on Yahoo literally told me nothing about what the company did. I wouldn't call it a "biopharmaceutical" company - over 300M of their TTM revs were from diagnostics and <100M from the "biotech & pharma" component. So they are a diagnostics company for starters, although they call themselves a "diversified healthcare" company in the last 10K, lol. It appears to be a rollup of rather unrelated operations, but interestingly it's been financed with equity rather than debt - perhaps not so interestingly given they're treating operating units like trading assets. Seems like the CEO's stake is almost offset by the 23% short float. Interesting pick, but it seems to exhibit many of the vices of the healthcare conglomerate boom - more excitement than I have the stomach for.
