Trouble is, the gubbermint does not own all the debt. Lots of other (crazy) people in foreign lands own some.

But, it's a Ponzi and we are still in the rolling payout phase. Anything is possible.

For me, its the idea that no one is screaming about it. And maybe that is because everyone in that game, but not INSIDE that game, is secretly happy to dump on the apparently endless rally in Treasuries.

I wonder, does the Fed have a deal with the Chinese. Just play along, sell into it, and know we are going to absolutely crush the clownbuck when the world figures it all out. Which is easy, since the clownbuck crushing is the result of such madness.

For me it is about the fact that no one is screaming, "insanity" like fire in the theater. Everything is fine. Don't look there, look here, move along.

That is the part that pisses me off, but hey, we don't have journalists or bond vigilantes anymore.
