I imagine the book was properly vetted by the Publisher because there are strong libel laws in this country. Doubt the Bushes would have let any falsehoods stand.

If you are talking about the German money/American Banks in 1942, there was a lot of it. It was frozen. It was perfectly legitimate to be doing business with Germany before WWII and all of Wall Street was doing a lot of it. The book in question tried to smear the Bush family with it.

BTW, our libel laws are a joke. If you are a "public figure," almost anything can be said about you.
