taking steps to disengage from the Middle East This quote from the "summary" sums up the "Cato Institute" attitude toward Foreign Policy. I used to agree with it. If it hadn't been for 911, I, like most of us here, would have been happy to use the Middle East as a "Gas Station" and let them do as they please. Not possible anymore. By interfering there, we are "messing" in the Euros back yard, and it is no wonder they are unhappy.
