Hi vinod

The web server included in IntranetWare runs on top of the standad NetWare OS, but the licensing is slightly different. The Web Server isn't tied to the NetWare license count, so that if you had a 100 user server on the Internet, more than 100 people could access it simultaneously. A single web browser can open several connections to the server to retrieve a web page, so a user count limit couldn't really be enforced that easily.

The actual speed of NetWare as a web server is very impressive, since a lot of web serving is simply file serving under a different name. Take a look at the figures over at

novell.com

under the web server section. You'll find the throughput can be compared favourably with the rest of the servers out there.

Also, for more information about some of the work the development teams have been doing, take a look at

novell.com

for details of some very positive advances for IntranetWare.
