Webb: I think perhaps we should move this discussion to the Metastock thread, lest we bore our devoted readers. But I'll put on my Metastock hat just this once in foreign territory and hope we aren't roughed up and dumped in a ditch in the next county. Do you mean when you go to "File, New," or when you go to "File, Open"? Go to "File, Open" to open files. Or better yet, go to that little icon of a folder below "File." The directory you'll see will be the last one you opened. If you want another one, browse for it. Next time to go looking for it, it'll be right there. I haven't found that the program defaults to an Equis directoy. It might the first time you look for a directory, but not after you open another directory.
(Aside to Quotes Plussers: You see, these Metastock questions aren't so uninteresting after all. They have broad appeal. They touch upon issues of concern to all of us. Here, for example, we see a tale of man against computer, man against machine -- a universal struggle. With some donations of food, spirits and other supplies, we could develop the theme.)
