highlights from a Merrill research report on Data Networking dated 12/31/98 (cut and pasted without permission). The whole report is available free if you register at Merrill Lynch Online. Ascend and Banyan should have the highest gross margins of the companies reporting the December quarter. We expect Ascend will report the strongest EPS growth with an increase of 33% in the quarter.
