The problem with a liberal education is one fails to learn the facts.

Carter was peeved at the thought of bribing multiple mullahs to say away from Iran. One of his first foreign policy acts was to end the million dollars each per year subsidy these mullahs had benefitted from. Left stranded in Paris with no income and dwindling resources they chose to return to Iran. Obviously they were marked men in the Shah's Iran, so their only hope was revolution.

Carter absolutely is 100% responsible for the mess in Iran. He was the worst foreign policy President of the last hundred years until Obama easily took that title from him. To think otherwise is to be a fool.

You have expressed an interesting conundrum. According to what you wrote, apparently you were alive during President Bush's terms but not during Obama four year disaster, Clinton's foibles or Carter's train wreck. Have you been getting frozen into suspended animation every time a democrat is in office?
