Time Traveller:

<<This copper technology is really a hype.

There is no dramatic merit in perform today in going to copper.>>

Benefits??

1) MOT reduces the number of backend process by 40% using copper technology! Thus reducing processing time and cost.

2) MOT is using copper technology to make fast 2ns SRAM for Intel. I believe those SRAM will be used for PII of slot II. You can't make 2ns SRAM with Aluminum unless you go to geometry below 0.18um.

3) No electromigration issue.

It is no hype. There are real benefits in going copper. Why use Al when Cu is much better? Cu is here and is the future processing technology.
