"Sprint Connects With Intel To Make the Web Faster Than Ever":

infobeat.com

"Sprint Internet Passport today strengthened its commitment to
delivering the fastest, most reliable Internet access service,
joining Intel in its market trial for Intel Quick Web technology.

Intel Quick Web technology uses several techniques to speed up
the downloading of Internet graphic images and compressing them
by removing unnecessary data bits. The compressed Web page is
received significantly faster since there is less data to download."

My question: when you take bits out of an already compressed file,
say a jpeg, what happens to your image when it gets decompressed
by your browser?
