I saw the following posted on the Yahoo! Syquest thread. I thought it was interesting, even though the Insight response doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Why would one want to discontinue a hot seller? Why not just quote the lead time and take orders from anyone willing to wait for delivery, like every other vendor on the planet does? I called the company and got no answer to why the SparQ internal IDE was dicontinued, so I sent them an e-mail. I was concerned that it might be a quality problem. Below is the message I sent and the reply I received back. Demand is Hot put Syquest must get onboard to meet it!!!!!!!!!

When a mfg has no more to distribute they must discontinue the product.
