<<To sight them as having some kind of meaning is anecdotal.>>

Boy you really ought to look up anecdotal in the dictionary. And then look up "sight" while you're at it. You don't seem to know the meaning of either one.

<<You say liberal does not matter, but the most liberal area have some of the highest murder rates.>>

Now you're contradicting yourself. Places like London and Paris are much more liberal than anywhere in the U.S. and they have 1/5 the murder rates of our big cities.

<<When Giuliani instituted some conservative tough on crime measures it went WAY DOWN. Now that IS proof of something.>>

How do you figure? Crime was going down all over the country while Giuliani was mayor of just one city.

<<Just various statistical datat that is dishonestly (imo) used to infer something that is not true.>>

Now look up "infer."

<<Serious problem that needs serious and tough solutions.>>

Absolutely. Most criminal sociologists will tell you that the economy and demographics are the two major factors in crime. That's the main reason crime was going down in the 90's: the economy was going up and percentage of the population that was most crime-prone (young men) was going down.

You say citing our more socialist allies is meaningless. I disagree.

Generally speaking, they treat their poor with more compassion (and benefits) than we do. They give single mothers much more help raising their children. And as a result, their poor are less crime-prone than ours.

It stands to reason. And the data, for the most part, bears it out.
