Arnie: Yes they have acquired SMR licenses to add to their contiguous bus.
This is part of the big auction, evidently Nextel also acquired the right to SMR licenses, however, they came in a package, good with bad, or bad with good. They really didn't want to fill the gap between Vegas and nowhere (podunk), but they had to buy the bundle to get the desired results. This is a new purchase, not related to Pittencrief. My client orginally was going to sell to Pitten, however, he didn't want Pitten or Nextel stock in trade, he wanted money. (dumb move huh)
To be honist, when I try to talk technical with him he shines me on like you would to your young child. Impatient personality, came up the tech way and ended up with something of real value. I won't and can't say how much he makes per month, however, I often told him that his is the wealthiest person in town. The licenses are very profitable, don't know what Nextel is going to do, the meetings are now, will know by Monday and will pass the info on. Doesn't mean that much, except that the acquisition of these licenses, bad as they may be, will allow the filling of some very empty space in Nextel's plan, and help to cover the interstate routes for wireless. Az doesn't even have good cellular to cover this area, you probably already know this.
Al. Off to work, heck, another day another 50 cents. |
