Polipundit - Congressman Rodney Alexander Has Switched Parties?

Today is the filing deadline in Louisiana, and it appears that conservative Democratic Congressman Rodney Alexander has filed as a Republican. As you may remember, it was a big-to-do for Democrats when he won this seat in a 2002 run-off, but evidently, he was not comfortable in the Pelosi caucus.

UPDATE: ""Rodney is a confused politician who has placed loyalty at the very bottom of his priorities," (Senator John) Breaux said. "He didn't talk to (party chairman) Mike Skinner, didn't talk to me, didn't talk to anyone who helped him get elected, who helped campaign for him, who helped raise money for him.""

My response: Tough. Maybe instead of following John Kerry around and campaigning for every leftist running for statewide office, you should have been talking to Congressman Alexander and discussing his concerns. Moreover, your views and those of Mike Skinner don't amount to a plate of jumbalaya. Rodney Alexander is responsible to his constituents -- not you and your corrupt party.
