If what they are saying is true, and one of the major parties chose an utter fraud to be their candidate, it is a major embarrassment for the whole country.

I think it's true, all right. An "anti-war" officer goes "in-country" for four months and comes out with five medals. And goes even more anti-war when he gets out. It never has sounded right. I think the "1971 Kansas City" incident is even worse, but it didn't make the mainstream radar.

The officers involved were not "right wing extremists" who did this out of spite. I think they are very reluctant to do this, but saw no other choice. I have no idea how this will play out. One thing for certain, the Kerry folk are desperate about it.
