Both cable companies in San Diego offer internet service for about $45 which competes very well with an extra phone line plus an ISP. The installation is $99 and of course you don't own the box. Damn sure glad I own that 14.4, 28.8, and 33.6 modem on my useless-parts shelf. cox.com san.rr.com
