PX, the mistake is mine, not yours. I'm not showing you clearly what I'm trying to say.

What I'm trying to say is: your information on MSFT business prospects is not a rational basis for shorting the stock.

You are rationalizing, not being rational.

That's what I was trying to say, when I said, plot a graph of MSFT prices versus MSFT values. If the two lines fit, then you are almost certainly using hindsight to make them fit.

What the heck difference does it make that all growth stocks are capped? The point you are ignoring is: when the heck do you short them? If you short them early, and are brave enough to hold on, you will go bankrupt.

I'm trying to talk practical buy/sell in the stock market.

Someone else can almost certainly explain this much more clearly than I can. Or present it in a way that you can see more easily.
