interesting segment on Inside Edition on an actor that was legally blind without glasses receiving LASIK surgery. I did not catch the whole thing, but the actor was very happy with the results and claimed to be paying for his dad's surgery too. The doctor who performed the procedure indicated that glasses could be eliminated in the future. I do not know what machine was used... It looked like some form of mask was placed on his face, then the cut, then the laser treatment. Anyway. Finally a positive piece about this technology. I have owned VISX for years... and bought BEAM @ $26...ouch.
