Greg,

It is same in the embedded world as in your server world. Changing a development environment is a scary thing. For example, I upgraded my cross compiler recently. Because the new compiler has improvement in optimization, some timing critical code stopped working after the compiler upgrade. It took us some time to figure out that we needed to add some un-optimized NO-OPs to solve this problem. Tornado is much more than just a compiler. If I were a WRS customer, I would certainly not change my development in the middle of a project.

It's good to hear that you upgrade your system with just a one-year delay. I used to work as an intern for IBM doing main frame software support. There were some customers with software that had not been upgraded for over a decade.
