Company Press Release

Access Power Announces Reporting
Company Status With SEC

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April
19, 1999--Access Power Inc. (OTC BB:ACCR - news), a pioneer service provider of Internet
Telephony Monday announced it has become subject to the reporting requirements of the
Securities Exchange Act of 1934 due to the recent effectiveness of a resale registration filed with
the SEC.

The company will begin filing regular quarterly and annual reports with the Securities and
Exchange Commission, beginning with a Form 10-KSB for its fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 1998
which was filed April 15, 1999.

Glenn Smith, chairman, president and CEO of Access Power stated: ''Access Power intends to
continue to implement its business plan as a pioneer provider of Internet Telephony services. At
the same time, we recognize the need to better inform our shareholders and the investment
community as to the status and growth of our business. We expect our public reporting will make
that information more easily available to the marketplace, will instill confidence on the part of our
shareholders, and will help investors make informed decisions regarding the company.''

Access Power provides a variety of Internet-based cutting-edge communication services. The
company recently announced a ground-breaking new service called net.caller(tm) which allows a
user of a multimedia PC with an Internet connection to place calls to any regular phone in the
continental United States for a flat-rate of $10 per month for unlimited usage.

''net.caller is the perfect IP telephony application for today's consumer,'' said Smith. ''It's a true
enhanced service that cannot be delivered by today's telcos using switched-based technology.
We're glad to be the first to introduce this flat-rate pricing to the PC-to-phone market. Access
Power is a development stage company, but expects net.caller to begin driving revenues upward
along with recently signed international wholesale termination contracts. The net.caller service is
being made available to VocalTec Communications' (Nasdaq:VOCLF - news) huge embedded
user base, and is being concurrently promoted via affiliate marketing programs and Internet
banner advertising.''

Consumers can sign up for Access Power's net.caller service by visiting the company's web site
at accesspower.com or by calling 800/388-2980 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. eastern
time, Monday through Friday.
