I agree with you in a sense that they probably should drop the description of the U.S. as a "Christion Nation". If they want something like that in their platform they would be better off saying that we are a nation based on Christian values or something to that effect. Not going to loose any sleep over it though. There seem to be more on the left restricting religious expression than there are on the right. Its not an issue of restriction......its an issue that goes to the very heart of the principle of the separation of church and state. Something the founding fathers felt very strongly about and which the TX GOP seems hell bent on perverting. Furthermore, that plank suggests a bias towards one religion over another..........one of the biases we are supposed to be free of in this society.
