Masked men vow to kill terrorist 08jul04
A GROUP of masked Iraqi men wielding grenade launchers has appeared on Arab TV denouncing Iraq's most wanted terrorist, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.
On the taped broadcast, they threatened to kill the Jordanian if he did not leave Iraq immediately. Calling itself the Salvation Movement, the group condemned Zarqawi for killing Iraqi civilians and foreigners while justifying the murders under the banner of Islam.
"We swear to Allah that we have started preparing to capture him and his allies or kill them, and present them as gift to our people," said the speaker on the videotape.
"This is the last warning. If you don't stop, we will do to you what the coalition forces have failed to do."
It is the first time an Iraqi militia group threatened Zarqawi.
The video surfaced on a day when insurgents killed 14 people and wounded dozens in a car bomb attack near the Sunni stronghold of Fallujah.

A "TOP GUN" US fighter pilot who mistakenly bombed Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan in 2002, killing four, was found guilty of dereliction of duty yesterday.
He was reprimanded and docked a month's pay, or about $8000.
Major Harry Schmidt, 38, "acted shamefully" during the episode, "exhibiting arrogance and a lack of flight discipline," Lieutenant-General Bruce Carlson wrote in the reprimand.
Major Schmidt blamed the fog of war, saying he mistook Canadian gunfire for a Taliban attack.

THE US said it secretly removed more than 1.7 tonnes of low-enriched uranium and other radioactive material from Iraq on June 23 that could be used to make a dirty bomb or support a nuclear weapons program.
Working at Iraq's former nuclear complex, a special team packaged the low-enriched uranium and roughly 1000 other highly radioactive devices, loaded them on a military plane and hauled them to the United States. - AGENCIES
