Clap,

You made me do some research (pretty pathetic, I guess -g-), but the Niners beat the NY Giants 7-3 on 12/3/90. Simms definitely was the QB; I recall him and Lott being separated when the game ended with Simms throwing an incompletion in the end zone on 4th down. Very memorable game with both teams beating the tar out of each other; I left my voice on the field too. -g-

Hostetler was the playoff and Super Bowl QB for the Giants that year after Simms got hurt at the end of the season, which made the Giants' upset of the Niners in the NFC Championship that much more frustrating for us spoiled west coast folks.

Niners beat Cincinnati in 1988-89 Super Bowl in final minute when Montana drove them the length of the field for the winning TD.

Last year's Super Bowl was definitely a great one, along with Giants over Bills in 1991 and Denver over Green Bay a few years ago (Elway's first).
