Looks more realistic than some of the old data, Clark, but may be hard to bench -- have seen times drop drastically on rescanning. Would caution anyone with a CD-ROM on one of those IDE channels to not expect your improvement from 202 to 170 secs 'with Qp2data and diskbuff on the different IDE drives/buses'. Why would you back up diskbuff? Bob
