I would think the debenture is already sold by now. From my understanding this is not like a secondary where it must be announced well in advance. Goldman probably had clients already lined up prior to the announcement. I'd be very surprised to see Goldman try to support the stock price, especially since it seems from the tape action that some institutions are selling into any strength.
