Channel i Canada Inc. - An Announcement

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--Channel i Canada Inc. ("the Company") is pleased
to announce the appointment of Andre Rancourt as General Manager.
Mr. Rancourt assumes his new position after making a comprehensive
review of the Company's operations and profit potential on behalf
of the Board of Directors.

Andre Rancourt is an experienced business executive with a
background in radio as the General Manager for Telemedia. At
Cogeco TV, as the Sales Manager, member of the team for the
presentation at the CRTC to obtain the twin stick in Sherbrooke
(CKSH Radio-Canada & CFKS Quatre Saisons).

Mr. Rancourt's review has already identified opportunities to
rationalize the Company's operations in Montreal and Sherbrooke
resulting in projected annual savings of $100,000.00 to
$125,000.00. He also identified additional steps, to be taken
within the next 15 days, to secure new profit centers for the
Company.

Mr. Rancourt will be based in the Company's Head Office in
Montreal, but a key priority will be to lead the Company's
Sherbrooke operations to a position profitable market leadership.

Issued and outstanding capitalization as at April 3, 1997 -
47,680,721 shares.
