Jay: I am optimistic about Tek as a company with good engineering talent and many good people that work there. However the management seems to usually find a way to foul it up and each time they foul it up the executives still make money. All the indications make me feel that they are more focused on success at this time. That is the reason that I am still a stockholder. I will continue to vote against management receiving stock option bonuses as part of there compensation when the terms of the arrangement focus on short term stock appreciation with no real historical gain for the shareholders.
What the management is saying sounds good (video stuff) and with HDTV coming on board in the upcoming years there is a market, but they have to perform true to their word. The 1995 experience should have shown them that there are people looking closer than the suger coated snapshots that have been published in the past.
