Strangely enough, the greatest perceived weakness of a secret key system is also in my opinion its greatest strength....centralized key management. With centralized key management, if a security device should be stolen or the key compromised, you can IMMEDIATELY remove it from the system thus eliminating any threat.

This is still possible in a public key system, but it becomes much more cumbersome. I truly believe many customers who require high levels of security will want and need centralized control anyway. Very ironic. If you go back and look at that TriStrata link I provided, you'll see this company is betting their existence on it.
