Globe & Mail July 26 page B9 Today's Globe has an article about base metal mining companies in which it states that they are cash-generating machines, but are ignored by investors who worried about looming economic slow-down. Mine executives and analysts point out to declining inventories nickel and zinc approaching critically low levels. Demand in South Korea Japan and Europe remains strong the only concern is United States. Prices of nickel and zinc could soar especially if the economy makes soft landing and then picks up/ In the article Falconbridge is not mentioned, only Cominco Noranda and Inco. This is in nut shell.
