When Kerry beat Weld for senate seat and beat others for his political seats there was no web or fox news. Bottom line he always ran on vietnam and his war record in Mass. no one dared to question him as they would be in deep do do. Based on his past experience of winning his seat he thrust the vietnam war hero again , but this time he was not running in liberal state of Mass but national , with many people able to investigate listen to alternative opinions on his record not only in vietnam but in congress on the web and fox news. The news media carried very few negative article about Kerry, yet they did carry a big distortion of the war in Iraq to hurt Bush thereby helping Kerry. Kerry got blind sided because Gore invented the internet.
