On September 20, 2003 Friends of ‘Tlac’ will spread his ashes in the Utah Mountains.
‘Tlac’ spent a lot of time on SI over the last 5 years, on this thread, and particularly in the QCOM Coming into Buy Range thread. Uncle Frank, Voltaire, JohnG, Gregg Powers, unclewest, plow guy, and others had frequent communications w/ Tlac.
The emotional and financial ride he had from 6/99 to when his life ended this summer was extraordinary. A ride where insight, intelligence, courage and risk created true wealth. Stubbornness and over-confidence gave it all back. Pride and regret took his life.
Kelly was a unique individual, he had a strong mind. I don't know for certain what advice he would dispense if he were here, but from the conversations we had prior to his passing, I speculate that it would go something like this:
"Find companionship and true love in this life; for they are something that no amount of money will ever be able to buy.
Follow your instinct, not that of the heard.
Leverage your mind and time, not your credit or asset base."
I wish he could have made it through to see another cycle and will remember him the rest of my life. Noah |
